“Frankenweenie” trailer released

The teaser trailer of Tim Burton’s new black and white film extravaganza, “Frankenweenie”, has officially come to life with the helping hands of Walt Disney Pictures.

The only information revealed to this point was that the film follows in the footsteps of Burton’s other stop-motion animated flicks “Corpse Bride” and “The Nightmare Before Christmas”, both of which were nominated for Academy Awards, but Disney has unveiled some other details like for example that over 200 puppets and sets were created for the film, the voice cast includes four actors who worked with Burton on previous films: Winona Ryder (“Beetlejuice”, “Edward Scissorhands”), Catherine O’Hara (“Beetlejuice”, “The Nightmare Before Christmas”), Martin Short (“Mars Attacks!”) and Martin Landau (“Ed Wood”, Sleepy Hollow”) and that several of the character names- Victor, Elsa Van Helsing, Edgar “E” Gore and Mr. Burgemeister- were inspired by classic horror films.

A new image has been also released along with the trailer debut.
